Designs & Monograms
Designs
All the designs that are available for our gifts can be seen when you click through to the item you are interested in. You will notice that when viewing or ordering an item, there are often many drop down boxes asking you to make various selections. Beneath these drop down boxes there is often the ability to click through to see specific designs. For example, if you are interested in the designs that are available for our flip stools, go to the flip stool page and then find "View Painted Design Choices" and click. This also works in terms of seeing color choices, font choices, etc.

Monograms
There are many ways to format a monogram and we are happy to embroider or engrave a name, initials or monogram in any format you'd like. However, in case you are wondering about monogramming etiquette, here are some of the guidelines we follow:

Individual Monogram Etiquette - The most common rule is first name initial, last name initial and middle name initial, in that order. So Samantha Elizabeth Morris' monogram would appear as follows: S M E

The only time we recommend you place a woman's or a man's initials in order, from left to right - first name initial, middle name initial and last name initial - is if you would like all the letters in the monogram to be the same size. In the case of Samantha Elizabeth Morris, her monogram would then appear as: SEM

Also, in general, there are not a lot of font choices when electing a same sized monogram. Generally, none of the script monograms work. Your best bet with a same size monogram tends to be something blocky like Times Roman.

Married Monogram Etiquette (2 Choices)
Modern Monogram Etiquette: The most common rule is Woman's First Name, Married Last Name, Husband's First Name. So Samantha Elizabeth Morris married to Brian Daniel Anderson's monogram would appear as follows: S A B

Traditional Monogram Etiquette:
The most common rule was Woman's First Name, Married Last Name, Woman's Maiden Name. So Samantha Elizabeth Morris married to Brian Daniel Anderson's monogram would appear as follows: S A M

What We Assume
Please note, when shopping with us online, most of our monogram font choices assume that the center initial is the last name initial and will be engraved or embroidered to be larger than the other two letters. If this is not the case, please indicate your preference by using the Special Instructions box when completing your order.

And, as always, if you have any additional questions, feel free to give us a call!
